Solar Mushrooms
I've seen a lot of people doing the solar mushrooms with no paint (I'm going to try the painted ones in a couple of days). I believe the idea started with The Shabby Tree and if that is not who started it, then I apologize to that person. You start with a clear glass vase. I've had some accumulating in the garage, but if you don't you can pick some up really inexpensively at garage sales, estate sales, or thrift stores. Secondly, you will need a clear glass bowl. Put E6000 glue (this makes it withstand the weather outside) on the bottom of the vase and place the glued side into the center of the bowl. Stack a couple of heavy books on this and leave it to dry for at least 24 hours. Take a solar light and stick it into the ground. Next, place the "mushroom" over the solar light and sit back and be amazed after it has had time to charge. My solar light changes colors which I think is cool too. I'm ready to make a few more as mushrooms usually grow in multiples.
